Hedwig Village

Hedwig Village is part of Memorial Villages, the incorporation occurred in the 1950s because of citizens living on the West side of Houston were concerned about the lack of zoning in their area and created a community just outside of Houston. The area was full of farmers and land that was well suited for it.

Over the years the area has continued to grow and has continued to add schools, churches, and government buildings that have aided in the area’s continuous growth. This small growing city offers the proximity of Houston and incredible history.

The area does not have a largely racially diverse area, but it is still a very highly rated area to live and raise a family. The Hedwig Village area has a median income of $102,000 per household.

When the area was first established the homes resembled ranch style residents but as the years have gone on, extreme change has occurred, and Hedwig has lost many of its countryside details. The city is serviced by its own police and firefighter, this detail has accredited much of the area’s growth to its safety.
