About Bellaire, Texas
The area was founded in 1908 to be a residential neighborhood and agriculture trading center. Because of the city’s continuous growth well into the 1950s, two high schools and two elementary schools were added to the area while it was still independent of Houston.
The city’s housing is still growing because the population growth has yet to stop. In recent years the area has come under scrutiny for racial profiling but after extensive investigations, those allegations have yet to bring forth any evidence.
